I'm TOO young to be getting OLD!

First off, happy Labor Day everyone!  I hope you all have had a wonderful day like I've had!

Secondly, have you gone over to Stress Case today?  I did a guest post!  So get your cute little butts over there and check it out!!

Ok, now on to explain what my odd crazy title means.  So as most of you know from my previous posts, money has been super tight lately with my car breaking down.  Well, since money is tight, I couldn't afford to go get my hair done, which I get to reward myself with once every few months, when my roots are just way too noticeable.

Since I do Super Mom's hair for her every month (out of the box) and she used to do mine, I asked her if she wouldn't mind doing mine yesterday after I did hers.  Well, as she was doing it, I hear her gasp.  So of course I start to freak out, like oh my gosh! What's wrong with my hair!?  She says, "You have a gray hair!"  Noooooooooooo!  I'm only 23!  Gray hairs are not in my vocabulary!  This can't be!

"What!?" I exclaim.  She laughs, pulls it out and shows me.  It was gray from the root for about an inch. I was in denial and kept telling her myself that it was just my blonde growing in.  But, sadly, it was indeed a gray hair that had sprouted.  I couldn't believe it.  My first gray hair.  Kill me now.

I hope that this was just a stress gray hair from everything that has been going on the last few weeks, and I don't get any more for a longggg time!

I'm an ALL OVER THE PLACE blogger!

I've never blogged before, and a few months ago when I saw an old friend was blogging, I figured I'd give it a try.  I had no idea what I was going to blog about or if I'd even like it, but I had to try.  I started off talking about myself and my life, to talking about my family and delicious meals that I cook, to shopping and fashion.  Pretty much whatever came to my mind or what I was into/doing that day/week, I'd talk about it...and I'm addicted.  Blogging is now apart of my daily life and my blog posts are all over the place.

I'm Sarah.

I'm a nanny who plans on becoming a first grade teacher.

I'm in LOVE with this man.

Shopping, fashion, health/beauty and makeup are some of my daily topics.
(she has a ton of 'how-to' videos)

I link up pretty much every day of the week.

My blog name "Living, Laughing, and Loving Life" comes from my new favorite phrase "Live Laugh Love" because recently, in the last year or so, I am finally living again, laughing all the time, and loving my family, amazing boyfriend, and life.
Before that, I was going no where with my life: changing my major every year (plus not doing so great in my classes), drinking and partying, getting dumped by my fiance after 3 years (who I later found out was a liar and a cheat), and not at all close with my family.  After I hit my all time low of getting kicked out of my house and dropping out of school, I decided I needed to change a few a lot of things.
So, first thing, I found a great church, and started going again.
I found a room for rent and moved away from the 'party life.'
I regained my relationship with my family and now have a family day every Sunday with them.
I figured out what I want to do with my life and started going back to school,
to become a teacher :)
And lastly, but absolutely not least, I met this wonderful guy who is now my amazing boyfriend.
Now, with all that has happened, I'm really learning to live, laugh, and love my life.
And I want to share all my stories with you.

^^That's me.

60 Day Challenge: Day 1

Day 1 - A picture of yourself with fifteen facts

(...I did this a few days ago in my blog All About ME! check it out!)

Homemade Dinners

Before I moved out, the only thing I cooked was top ramen, stuffing, or spaghettios.  I just had no interest in making anything...I had other people for that.  Haha.  Now that I'm living with Amazing Boyfriend, it's like this switch has been turned on, and I'm a cooking queen.  Almost every night, I make a homemade dinner for him and me, and I don't want to brag, but they are delicious!

I go grocery shopping almost every Saturday to get food for the meals I'm going to make during the next week.  I usually get a lot of the same stuff and every now and then I'll change it up and get some different items.  Amazing Boyfriend and I also like to go to this cute little farmers market that's down the street from us to get fresh fruits and veggies.

A few things that I have made before are: (pictures to come later)
  • Meatloaf with red Idaho potatoes
  • Steak with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans
  • Panini sandwiches
  • Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread
  • Chicken and rice
  • Chicken and pineapple kabobs
Like last night, I made bowtie pasta with garlic and herb marinara sauce.  I topped it with a seasoned chicken breast.  On the side I boiled then sauteed some green beans, and toasted up some garlic bread.  It was delicious.  I could only eat half, but Amazing Boyfriend finished off the whole thing!

I get a little help making these dinners from the George Forman Grill that my grandparents got us for Christmas last year.  That thing is absolutely amazing!  I cook just about everything and anything on it and it cooks the food in minutes.  I've even made waffles on it!  How cool is that?  And it's easy to clean up too.

Now, when it's been a long day, and cooking something just seems impossible, there's this lovely thing called sushi that is made daily at the grocery store.  Add some edamame with that, and wah-lah, a yummy dinner.  I also buy frozen foods like:
  • CPK pizza
  • Wanchai chinese dinners for two
  • Bubba burgers
And then there's also take out...

My Job

I'm a nanny as most of you know.  I have been taking care of two girls for almost a year now.  The youngest is 5 and just graduated from kindergarden, and her oldest sister is 10 and going to be a sixth grader next year.  They are pretty easy to watch, but when I first started there were a few habits I needed to work on.

The youngest girl, Miss 5-Going-On-30, literally acts like she is a 30 year old woman.  She is such a fashionista, with all her make-up and jewelry, and caring about how she looks all the time.  She has this cute little attitude and talks like she's your mom.  However, she gets very carried away at times, and she throws tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants.  That's where I put my foot down.  See, her parents, whom I love, let their kids do and have whatever they want, and when I started working for them, I had to nip that in the bud.  Miss 5 going on 30 is perfect when I'm with her, but as soon as a parent comes home, it's like there's this switch that turns on and she's back to being a spoiled brat, although she has gotten a lot better since I've been here, because her parents (well mostly the mom) has somewhat gotten on the band wagon with me and saying no a little more.

Miss Lazy-Know-It-All, the oldest, realizes how her younger sister acts, and sees how annoying it can be, and  knows that she can't just throw a tantrum to get what she wants.  She reminds me a little of myself, very smart and kind of funny at times.  However, she is very lazy for a 10 year old.  All she ever wants to do is watch TV, although, I guess, what kid at that age doesn't.  She also can never close anything or put anything away!  I'm kind of a neat freak, and she just leaves cabinets and drawers open, lights on, food and trash wherever she's sitting.  I constantly have to tell her "put this away," "pick this up," and "close this."  Even though she drives me crazy at times, I still love her.

I love my job and I love these girls...

All Things ME!

If you don't know me already, I'm pretty great...haha, no, I'm just your average 22 year old, with a few quirks:
This is ME!
I am the oldest of 6 kids in my family.

My parents are still married after 22 years!

My brother is special needs and one of the coolest kids ever!

My family and boyfriend are my best friends.

I live with my amazing boyfriend

I'm studying psychology at the University of Phoenix.
(third school and third time changing my major)

If I didn't have to go to school,
I wouldn't.

I've been working with kids for almost 8 years.

I'm currently a nanny to
Miss 5-Going-On-30 and Miss Lazy-Know-It-All.

I want to be a first or second grade teacher
(haven't decided yet)
at a Montessori School.

I am usually a very shy and quiet person
(unless you I am really comfortable with you)
then I can be very loud and weird.

My amazing boyfriend says I'm 'weird as sh**'
but others call me 'sweet sarah'

I eat abnormally slow.

I love sushi and ribs!

I only started cooking when I moved in with
amazing boyfriend.

I'm now like a little housewife.
(and I love it!)

Sadly, I'm addicted to Facebook.
(However, I've gotten much better in the last year.)

My top favorite TV shows are:
iCarly, Victorious, and The New Adventures of Old Christine

I'm very much a kid at heart and love to laugh!

I only started blogging a few days ago.
(courtesy of StressCasey for inspiring me)

In my blogs, I kind of just write about whatever pops in my head.
(I'm on my computer a lot!)

I don't have too many friends,
but I'm always open to meeting new ones!

Saturday Mornings

Most of my Saturday mornings are consisted with the same old thing: wake up, eat breakfast, watch 'The New Adventures of Old Christine,' clean our cute little apartment, and go grocery shopping.  To most people, this would sound monotonous, but, honestly, I love it!  A year ago if you would've asked me to wake up on a Saturday morning to clean, I would've told you "hell no!" Haha.  My Saturday mornings used to be all about sleeping in and then going out and doing whatever I felt like doing, and now I've turned into your a-typical housewife.  And honestly, even though I never thought at this point in my life I'd be doing all this, especially at 22, I think this is what I have always wanted.  I now have my own home that I can do whatever I want with, I live with an amazing boyfriend who makes me laugh and always feel loved, and I actually have money that I can go grocery shopping with and get food that I like.

I absolutely love my Saturday mornings...
