Hair Style Proudness!

After cleaning all day, I decided to do a little something with my hair.
I recently bought some pieces from Ulta that I have been wanting for quite a long time.

And thanks to all the helpful how-to videos by Imogen, I was able to pull this off...

Pretty cool, huh?
I am very proud of myself that I was able to do this.

Clearances Galore!

Sunday is amazing boyfriend and my one year anniversary and I hadn't gotten him anything yet, so last night I headed over to the good ole' Bed Bath and Beyond.  I love this place, but I hate how expensive everything is.  Well, I guess last night was the best time to go, because everywhere I looked there were yellow signs marked clearance.  A little part inside of me squealed like a little child getting a pony for christmas!  There were picture frames marked down to almost half price, candles on sale, accent pillows marked down, art accents for the wall half off, and three or four stands in the back that were all clearance mark downs.  I was in heaven!

Now the best part about this whole adventure is that buried deep behind some marked down Mite-Away boxes was, wait for it... a half priced...out of the box...CHI Air Flat Iron!!  I thought there had to be a catch, so I looked on the clearance sticker to see why it was marked down, because this sounded to good to be true.  And low and behold, it was only marked down because it was out of the box.
I have been wanting to get a new straightener for a long time because I've had my current one for about five years and now when I use it, the temperature drops, so I have to set it down every minute or so to heat back up.  I wanted to buy a really nice one, but with money being so tight lately, I've had to look at the Remington flat irons sold at Target for like 30 bucks.  Even though, from other bloggers reviews, I've been really wanting to get a CHI flat iron, but they are just so expensive (starting at $99 and go up).  So when I found this jackpot hidden on the clearance shelves, I was ecstatic!  And had to get it!

I also got a tall live laugh love frame that holds 3 photos for only $7!  I wanted to buy a few more things that were marked down awesomely low, but with the flat iron being $50, I couldn't spend any more money, especially after buying amazing boyfriend's gift, too.
There were a ton of steals, I wish I could of gotten more!  Damn not having won the lottery yet!  Haha.

Do you love Bed Bath and Beyond?
Have you gotten any great deals?

Miracle in a Bottle!

I've heard here and there from different people and from things I've read, that it's good to change up your shampoo and conditioner every few months and/or use Head & Shoulders once every month.  I didn't see what the big deal was to do that, so I never thought much of it, until... my hair was looking so dry and frizzy and just not healthy.

So, first I gave it a little trim to cut off all the split ends, since I haven't cut it I don't know how long.  Then I figured, what the heck, I'll give Head & Shoulders a try and see what the big deal is.  Amazing Boyfriend has some that he uses, so I used that, since it was already in the shower.  And, O-M-G!!  My hair was brought back to life!  It was a miracle!  My hair was silky soft and shiny, and actually had a bounce to it.  I was in love!

I used it for two days and then switched back to the new shampoo and conditioner I got a few weeks ago.
pretty, huh?
I think so.

Do you use Head & Shoulders?
Have any secret hair products that you use?

Sally's Beauty REVIEW

I know it's taken me awhile, but like I promised, here is a review on the items I got a few weeks ago at Sally's Beauty... (Ratings will be rated out of five ♥s - one being most disliked and five being really liked)

Biotera Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner
I have never been completely satisfied with any shampoo and conditioner set I've tried, until now.  I noticed a difference in my hair after the first wash.  My hair is thicker, fuller, and softer.  When it says 'ultra moisturizing,' it really means ultra moisturizing!  My hair is still a little frizzy, but it's way better than what it used to be.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥
Rattail Comb
Perfect for what I intended to use it for - teasing your hair.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
China Glaze Crackle Collection: Lightening Bolt
LOVE IT!  Looks exactly like it does in pictures I've seen.  I read in a past review over at Love, Lipstick, and Pearls that she recommends only doing one swipe of the brush, because if you do too many swipes, it won't come out right.  So I did what she said, and it came out perfect.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
 Queen Helene Mud Pack Masque
Again, LOVE IT!  I tried it one night when I was home alone and it is wonderful, just like Lindsey @ The Bargain Blonde said HERE.  Although, I don't know how she was able to smile in her pics because after it started to dry on my face (which happens in minutes), my face was so stiff!  But after you remove it from your face with warm water and a wash cloth (it comes off easier than I thought), your face will be smooth like a baby's bottom ;)

Wow, it's been a very long time since I've linked up for WILW @ This Kind of Love, or any link up really.  Sad, I know...  Lets just say it has been very stressful the last few weeks.  Very.  But here are a few things that have made me smile...
I'm loving... that I get paid tomorrow.
(because we're broke)

I'm loving... that I'll actually have time to paint my nails tonight.
(and use my new crackle nail polish!)

I'm loving... my new job.
(the girls are freaking adorable!)

I'm loving... my favorite shows.
(Awkward. The New Adventures of Old Christine. Dance Moms. Teen Mom.)

And as always, I'm loving... my super handsome, amazing boyfriend <3

E.L.F. Review

In my last weeks post, I finally received my products from e.l.f. that Super Mom got me for my birthday.  Since then, I have gotten a few requests to do a review on the products I got.  So here you go...
At the end of my review for each item,
I will give a rating out of five ♥s.
One being the lowest - Five being the highest.
1.  I love how the face primer makes my foundation look, but if I sweat (which is most likely with the heat we're having here), it makes my face look a little shiny.  When putting it on, only squirt out about a 'pea size' amount, and that will cover your whole face fairly well.  Anymore and it will make your face feel too oily.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥
2.  The pressed powder is great.  It covers my face well and does a wonderful job covering up my face when I need a quick touch up.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
3.  I unfortunately haven't had a chance to try the false lashes yet, but I would assume they are like any basic lash kit.
Rating: unavailable
4.  The concealer stick is pretty descent.  I keep it in my purse and use it whenever I have a blemish that needs some covering up.  Just apply over area and rub in a little, and done!
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
5.  Like I said in my post last week, I swear by this stuff.  I have been using it for years.  When regular concealer doesn't do the job, the all over stick covers it up!  You can use a brush, but I prefer to just use my finger.  I love it!
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
6.  I've never used bronzing powder before, but I thought I'd give it a try, and I love it.  It makes my cheek bones really stand out, which I like.  But be care not to put too much on your brush because even a little does a lot.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
7.  Their lipgloss is ok.  When first opening it, you have to twist the bottom a bunch of times before the gloss actually comes out.  But be careful when twisting, because if you twist one too many times it comes out real fast.  I personally don't like how the applicator part is like a brush; I prefer the stick kind or the squeeze kind.  And the gloss itself is kind of sticky.
Rating: ♥♥
8.  Not much to say about toe separators.  They pretty much do what they say they do - separate your toes!
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
9.  I've only ever used liquid eyeliner once before in my life, so I don't have much to go off, but it's ok.  The actually applicator is like a plastic point, not a brush, so when trying to apply in a sweeping motion, it doesn't work very well.  It does the job, but not as well as I'd like.
Rating: ♥♥♥
10.  I like LOVE the eye widener A LOT!  I just love how it makes my eyes look.  I used to occasionally put black eyeliner all over my eyes, but using the black on my upper lid and then white on the bottom, gives me a more classier/prettier look.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
11.  The eye smudger sponge works pretty good, I just wish the sponge was a little more squishier.
Rating: ♥♥♥
12.  I didn't find the blending brush necessary.  Just a regular eye shadow brush does the job.
Rating: ♥♥
13.  I never knew what the fan brush was for, until I was looking through all the brushes, and discovered it was for wiping your face after applying eye shadow.  I always used to wipe it with my fingers and the eye shadow that fell down would just get all smudged under my eyes, but now, I can wistfully wipe it away! Yay!
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
14.  The bronzing brush is pretty much the same as a blush brush, but it's nice to have two different ones so the colors don't mix.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
15.  I love that I got 100 eye shadow colors for only $10, but some of the colors aren't as dark as they look once you apply it on your eye.  So I have to go over it a few times to get the actual color.
Rating: ♥♥♥

My E.L.F. Makeup FINALLY Arrived!

If you remember a few weeks ago, my cute little apartment was robbed!  But weirdly enough, they only took my makeup bag!  Crazy right!?  All my wonderful makeup was gone.  I'd say about $100 worth, just gone.  I was so sad and confused...and you could say scared out of my mind that someone a complete stranger was in my house!!  Well, enough about that because as I'm writing this, I am alone in my apartment, and I'm just freaking myself out... door locked, check!

Ok, so since I had no more makeup, I went to Target and bought the cheapest, but pretty good stuff to hold me over.  A friend, a few years ago, bought me a bunch of e.l.f. makeup for my birthday.  I had never heard of it before, but she said it was great and a majority of the products are $1-$3 per each item.  Awesome!  I've been hooked ever since.  I grabbed the few essentials they had there at Target, and then went online for the rest.  And I found out when I registered on their website, they sent me an email for a code to receive 10 free items if I spent $20 or more.  Pretty sweet, huh?

Well, seeing that I've been really tight on money lately, and I remembered that my Super Mom and Hard-Working Dad never got me a birthday present...hmmm.  So I called Super Mom up and asked if she would be willing to spend about $30 on me, and she said yes!

Which brings me to today receiving my package in the mail!
(Sidenote - I ordered my e.l.f. products on July 29, paid $6.95 for standard 5-7 day shipping, and I finally got it today, August 12!  Two weeks!  That's the only downside to e.l.f. online ordering.)

1.  Mineral Infused Face Primer [buy] - I saw that the Lindsey @ The Bargain Blonde bought and reviewed this and since she loved it, I just had to get it too.  It goes on before you put on all your makeup so your makeup goes on evenly and gives you a satin finish look.
2.  Pressed Powder [buy] - I wear foundation, but sometimes I need some extra coverage on certain areas.
3.  Dramatic Lash Kit [buy] - sometimes you just need some extra lashes!
4.  Concealer Stick [buy] - perfect for concealing blemishes while on the go.
5.  All Over Cover Stick [buy] - I swear by this stuff!  It is amazing at covering up little blemishes big pimples that you don't want seen.
6.  Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder [buy] - I've never used bronzer before, but hey, for only $1, why not?
7.  Hypershine Lipgloss [buy] - I got this as a free gift by referring 3 people to e.l.f.  Thank you very much e.l.f. :)
8.  Toe Separators [buy] - I always use kleenex and toilet paper to separate my toes, so I figured it was time to step it up and buy the real deal.
9.  Liquid Eyeliner [buy] - using my eyeliner stick doesn't really work when I'm trying to go for the winged-eye look
10.  Eye Widener [buy] - I saw that Imogen @ Imogen Foxy Locks wears this and her eye makeup is gorgeous.
11.  Smudge Eye Sponge [buy] - to get that smokey eye look I thought this would help.
12.  Blending Eye Brush [buy] - this will help blend all the colors on your eye or can be used as a concealer brush.
13.  Fan Brush [buy] - you know how when you put eye makeup on and a bunch of it falls below your eyes, well ta-dah!  This will help sweep it off your face without smudging it under your eyes!
14.  Bronzing Brush [buy] - I bought bronzer, ergo a bronzing brush.
15.  100 Eyeshadow Palette [buy] - 100 eyeshadow colors for only $10!?  I was sold!

I can't wait to use all of it!
Do you use any e.l.f. products?
Love it? Hate it?
