Amazing Boyfriend and I have been dating each other for over a year now,
and not that I'm getting anxious or anything,
but he hasn't popped the question yet!
We live together in our cute little apartment and I believe we are the perfect little couple,
so come on dude and let's get this party started already, haha.
Well, as you all know, I am a nanny to three little girls, and being surrounded by them every day, along with tons of other cute little ones, including my beautiful 8 month old niece,
I'm kinda getting baby fever...
Shhh! Don't tell!
I always tell myself that I don't want kids until at least a year or two after getting married, because I would like to enjoy having fun, descent alone time with the man of my life before a screaming bundle of joy comes into our life.
However, with babies around every corner I look, friends all being pregnant (and/or married), and not being able to fully love and nurture the children I watch, I'm craving that need for motherhood.
A good friend recently told me that I must truly be in love and have found the right man if I am having this feeling... and honestly, I absolutely think she's right. Amazing Boyfriend is the man of my dreams and I love spending every day with him
(even with what little time we get to spend together these days).
I know he is the one for me and I get so giddy
(..yes, I said giddy..)
when I think of us finally being married and starting our own little family together.
Even though I am having this feeling, there are a few quite obvious reasons that are stopping me from ruining my body for life bringing a baby into the world.
Let's see...
- going through nine months of mood swings
- the actual thought of giving birth and having my lady parts torn open
- a crying baby waking (me) up ten million times a night
- having sore ta-tas
- spending our life savings on diapers and wipes, clothes, bottles and formula, baby food, etc.
- changing one dirty diaper after the next
- baby throw up (yuck!)
- getting spit up and drooled on
....wait, hold on,
Okay, um, yah never mind.
Having babies can wait.
I am enjoying, very much, my quiet time, bank account, and body (besides the unwanted weight gain) a little too much right now.
When the time is right, I'll know, and it will be perfect.
Until then, I will just have to pretend the little ones are mine but be thankful that I can give them back to their parents when the day is over.
Are you going through or have you ever gone through
BABY FEVER?
