We get to the pool around 2:30 yesterday afternoon, and of course I spray a ton of sunscreen on Miss 5-Going-On-30 before I let her get in the pool. However, when I got done, and it was my turn, I figured I only needed it on my shoulders, since, in the past if I did ever get burned, it was my shoulders. After a few minutes we both hopped in the pool to cool off. It was so nice out.
About 10-15 minutes in the water, I got out and laid out on one of the tanning chairs, with the little one in my sight. Stupid me laid in the same exact position the whole time we were there (about an hour and a half). I really couldn't flip over or turn the other way because I was watching a child, but I didn't think until after the fact, that I could have turned the chair in a different direction so I was still facing her. Uh, duh Sarah...haha.
So later that day, I get home and go to shower, to find that I am burnt on only the front side of my body. I turned to the side and you can visibly see that my body is red on one side and white on the other. Great look for me... So with a ton of aloe vera and trying to remember not to scratch the burn, hopefully in a few days it will get better...or (cross my fingers) turn into a tan...
