Becoming Seriously Attached to Fictional Characters...

I told you here about how I'm reading the Private book series.

I'm reading through them like they're candy sitting in front of a baby.

(If that made any sense.)

Let's just say that I'm going them extremely fast.

(Like one every two days now.)

And it's starting to scare me how involved I am with these books.  I feel like I am Reed Brennan, and I'm living everything through her.

Like today, I was reading {the 12th} book and she had to break up with her boyfriend as a task in order to save her kidnapped friend, and my stomach was so sick, like I was just about to break up with my boyfriend when I obviously didn't want to.

She goes through so much an insane amount of stress and extreme troubles that I feel that I've been through the same thing.  

Seriously!

I think because this is such a long book series and I'm reading it every day, I feel like it's my life I'm reading about.  And even scarier, I can relate to a lot of the things...

Well, not everything, because people close to her get murdered, and thank God, that's never happened to me, but just her personality and some of the stuff she goes through with friends and boys, I can relate.

However, on a side note...
I finished the 12th book today (no surprise there) and I'm really debating on whether I want to keep going.  Only because with the way it ended, I think the author has taken it just a bit too far.  And that's really saying something with this series, because just about anything and everything that could happen to a teenage girl that transfers to a private school out of state has happened to her, and that was already a stretch on the author's part.

But curiosity killed the cat, and I'm going to keep reading, because I just have to know what is going to happen next!

Although, I'm sad the series is coming to an end, or at least for now (I hope!).
I don't know if the author is planning to keep going and the books just haven't been written or come out yet.
(I only have TWO books left!)

However, there are many prequels to this series that I need to read, and there's a series attached to this one based on one of the characters that left the book after the fourth one.

Best Book Series I've Read in a LONG Time!

Many years back, when I was still in high school, I went down to good old Borders (RIP), in search for a good book to read.  I wasn't much of a reader back then, so I wanted to find something that would really grab my attention.  

I searched through the mystery section, the romance section, and then headed over to the teen drama section, just for kicks and giggles.  I skimmed through a few a ton books and grabbed a few here and there that caught my eye.  

After standing around searching for a good 20-30 minutes (I know, I'm picky, haha), I stumbled across a series called

 'Private' by Kate Brian.  

The first four books came as a set, and I believe they were on sale, or else I probably wouldn't have bothered spending that much money on a set.  

I started reading the first book, and was automatically hooked.  

(Now, when it comes to me and reading, if the first chapter doesn't grab my attention, I stop reading it.)

Back then, I only got to reading through book three or four and stopped, because, like I said, I wasn't much of a reader, and other things were "more important."

A few months ago when I went to Borders while it was closing and everything was marked down a good 50-70%.  I happened to find the next set of books of the Private Series and bought them all for only like $3 each!  It was amazing!

I finally got to start reading it again, and I've gone from book one to book eight or nine in about two months!  I'm absolutely addicted.  These books really keep you captured with all the drama and mystery and romance.  I feel like I am living through the main character and sometimes always I let my emotions get carried away, haha.  

I am really kind of sad that the series is almost coming to an end.  I believe I only have three more books to read until it's done.  And knowing my recent new love for reading, I'll be done in less than two weeks, maybe.  I mean, I've been finishing a book every few days it seems like. 

 I just can't get enough!

Thankfully, Kate Brian came out with a new series, called 'Privilege,' that goes along with this one, and she has a few other books that are AWESOME!  You can see a list of them in my My Favorite Books tab.  

If you want a good book(s) to read, you must go out and buy the Private Series!
