Feeling Drained

My body is in serious need of relaxation.
Being a full time nanny is extremely draining and tiresome.
Don't get me wrong, I love the girls I watch, but I have to constantly keep them busy and take care of them.  They are ALWAYS hungry, and half the time, they're fighting or annoying each other.

However, the main reason why I'm always feeling drained is because the other part of my job description is to be the (not paid very well) housekeeper.
When hired, I was asked to wash the dishes, do laundry, and tidy up a bit.  I was fine with this, but I wasn't considering how much work it would be, since I'm a neat freak, and realizing that I am being WAY underpaid for it.  And...

It. is. KILLING. me.

My body always aches, I feel like I could just sleep for days, and my patience gets lower and lower every day.

I know I should ask for more money for everything that I do, but for one, I hate asking for that, and second, when I asked them to pay for my gas for all the driving I do, it was like pulling teeth from a tiger.  Ridiculous!

And right now, I'm bored out of my mind sitting in class, trying not to fall asleep because I am so freaking tired.  And to top it all off, I usually have Fridays off, but since they gave me a half day a few weeks ago, and the mom is out of town tomorrow, I get to go in at my usual time and work until noon without extra pay, to make up for the half day.  All because the mom doesn't want to put too much stress on the dad.  Oh boo hoo.  He wanted to be a dad, so he should be able to handle things like a dad.

I've been keeping my eye open for a new, better paying job, but haven't had much luck.
For all the wealthy people who live in my city, they are very much tight-wads when it comes to paying the people who take care of their children.

Ok, I'm done ranting.
Just needed to get that out there.

Thanks for listening :)

School Sucks!: UPDATE

If you read my last post about my angry, venting rage on my school, haha, then you'll be glad to hear this...
I PASSED!!!

It was with frustration and tears all the way to the end, but I did it!  First off, after finally getting signed up for this test, no one sent me the email that included the name of the test I was supposed to take or any of the study material I needed...until the day before the test.  And even then, it lead me nowhere.  I seriously was freaking out, on the verge of tears, and extremely frustrated!  After googling over and over again, I finally found some study material that I could work off of, and studied my little heart out on english composition and everything grammar.

The next morning I wake up bright and early (surprisingly before my alarm went off!) and again, I studied and ate a light breakfast.  I figured I was good to take this test and headed off to school.  Well, unbeknownst to me (really, since I didn't get the right study information from my counselors), I had studied for entirely the wrong thing.  Or, my school is just out to get me, and chose to change their English Composition Modular Test the day I had to take mine, because 95% of the 90 questions I had to complete in 90 minutes were questions on passages I had to read.  I was so pissed.  It was nowhere near to what I had studied for!

After wanting to give up a million a few times, I finished with one minute and 53 seconds to spare; barely enough time to even review two questions.  But with everyone who had wished me luck and my many, many prayers, I passed with a 53/90.  Not so great looking at it, but only needing 50 points to pass, I'll take it!

Thank you everyone, you're awesome! :)

School Sucks!

I used to "love" school and I would hate missing a day of it...mostly because I would always feel guilty about just the thought of missing (even if I was extremely ill).  I always got good grades and went above and beyond...my momma taught me well :)  I was the shy, quiet girl that not everybody knew, but when mentioned, they would say I was sweet (Miss Goody-Two Shoes, if you will).

Well, halfway through my junior year of high school, I became a little rambunctious and came out of my little shell.  I made friends with a few girls (who I'm no longer friends with now due to these reasons) who took me to parties and introduced me to things a sheltered girl wasn't used to.  So due to that, school slowly became second priority, but I still managed to get descent grades and graduate.

I went off to a junior college nearby, transferred to an interior design school, and just about a year ago, transferred again to the school I go to now, that I was told is supposed to help me graduate in half the time of going to a regular university.

When I first transferred, I was told that I'd be able to finish classes by mid-year 2012 and that I would be able to test out of all the general ed classes that I hadn't completed yet.  I've been going to this school for about a year now and my schedule has been right on track, until now...

Last week, I kept getting phone calls from a lady at my school, but I never had time to answer (working with kids is very much time consuming).  She would leave a voicemail every time, but would just say her name and to please call her back, with no follow up email like everyone else I've talked to at my school.  So, I just assumed that it had to do with something about my student loan being accepted and dispersed, and I didn't feel the need to immediately call her back.  I wish I would have though because come to find out, my class schedule was about to change.  I finally got ahold of her last Friday and she tells me that amidst the 11 psychology classes I've taken in the last year, that I can't take the twelfth psych class until I complete a required writing prerequisite.  Um...what the heck!?

So the last 48 hours have been filled with emails and phone calls going back and forth between me and three different ladies at my school to get this figured out and why no one had contacted me sooner to tell me this so I was able to test out of it.  I just figured that I would complete all the required psych classes for my psychology degree and then move onto the needed general ed classes that I still had to take.  Guess I was wrong.

This school is getting more and more frustrating by the week.  My counselor seems to change every few months, my class schedule seems to keep changing every month, and even though my major is psychology, seriously, do I need to take a million psych classes?  So I just told one of the counselors I talked to today that I want to test out of all the classes I'm able to and just be done with this school and get my degree.  So she set me up this Friday to test out of this upcoming writing class and is sending me information to prepare me for the next tests I will have to take to test out of other classes.  It's not what I wanted to hear, but I guess it will have to do.

The next few days will be filled with crammed studying of english practice tests and my bank account decreasing by $100. Yay.....  I know I'll do good, but I am so horrible at taking tests.  Wish me luck please!
