I Love My Life-Draining Job

I have to say, that this new nanny job I took on a few weeks ago, has been kicking my butt.  Getting used to waking up at 6:45am every morning, taking care of three beautiful girls, and not getting off until almost 6pm has taken a lot an extreme amount out of me and I seem to be so tired all the time.

The cute little girls I watch are pretty easy to take care of, but they need to be constantly entertained, as of course all little kids do.  So that means many trips to the park, the lake to feed the ducks, Pretend City, crafts, and plenty of other things.  Along with watching the girls and taking them places, I also have to do the laundry, wash the dishes, and keep the house tidied.  I honestly don't mind doing these extra things because quite frankly, I'm a bit of a clean freak, I must admit.  However, I do feel for everything that I do, on top of all my experience, I should be getting paid way more than I am.  So I hope that maybe after 6 months, or so, working with them, I'll get a little raise. (I'll keep my fingers crossed!)

Now about these little girls I watch...they are freaking adorable!  The oldest, let's call her Little Miss Fashionista, is in the first grade and could already be a designer on Project Runway.  She's always wearing the cutest outfits, looking at magazines, and drawing outfits.  Next, is Little Miss Lovable Brat.  Being that she is the middle child, she gets jealous a lot, which leads to either fights or tears.  She's really sweet, but has a bit of an anger problem.  Last but not least, is my favorite, Little Miss Sweet 16.  She's two going on 16. She likes to help and do everything on her own, but also likes to demand things.  She has the cutest little blonde curls and squeaky little voice.  Absolutely adorable!

I only work Monday through Thursday, but it feels like an every day job.  I just wish I had more energy and didn't feel the need to have to sleep and lay on the couch all day Friday, like I did today...yes, I've practically been on the couch all day, in my pajamas, watching tv or reading.  I guess it's nice though to have a three day weekend to regroup and catch up on sleep before I have to go back to my 10 hour work days.  I love my job and the girls, and wouldn't trade it for anything.
